Karnal, Haryana: A large tree-plantation and cleanliness drive was organized in Karnal on Sunday to promote environmental awareness and protect the city’s green spaces. The event was conducted by local volunteers, students, and municipal officials, who planted over 500 saplings in public parks and roadside areas.
The campaign focused on reducing air pollution, encouraging people to plant more trees, and keeping the surroundings clean. Students from nearby schools participated in a rally carrying posters and slogans about saving nature and conserving water.
Municipal authorities said such activities will continue throughout the year to make Karnal a cleaner and greener city. Residents appreciated the initiative and promised to take care of the newly planted trees.
